Welcome!
Books of Hope is a youth literacy empowerment program based in the Mystic Housing Project in Somerville, Massachusetts. Youth, ages 13-25 meet for weekly classes where they read, write, discuss, and workshop original creative writing. At the end of the year-long program, the youth publish their own full-length books and set out on the Mystic Ink Tour to perform and sell their work at some of the top spoken word venues and bookstores in the region.
